The Girl Behind L&LB

THE GIRL:

The Basics. My name is Amanda and I am currently residing in upstate Pennsylvania. By day, I am a higher education professional working at a university library. By night I am glued to my MacBook, scouring the web for all things fancy, fashion, and potentially on sale. My furry babies, Stitches & Lady, are my partners in online shopping crime, often found by my side (trying to steal the heat of my laptop). I'm just your average daydreaming girl, always looking to leave my mark on the world.

Education. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Psychology & Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Mansfield University in 2008 with so many ambitions that I did not know what to do with them. I welcomed the change of pace that came with all things higher education and it was there that I became passionate about assisting at-risk students to achieve their educational goals. I immediately went onto graduate school at Drexel University where I earned a Master of Science in Higher Education. As soon as I can narrow down my many interests to one, I would like to pursue earning a doctoral degree.

Swoon. I am passionate about a number of things, including education, fashion, graphic arts, reading, fitness (oh, and carbs)...the list goes on! I love both the city and the beach, so I try to escape to one of them as frequently as possible. Literally nothing stills my heart in quite the same way as a city skyline or the smell of salt water.

Dreams. If I could do anything with my life, it would be a toss up between being a full-time stylist, opening my own boutique, advising students, and being a professional student. There are just so many things I would love to learn more about. Unfortunately, my ever-present student loan debt would probably go postal should I ever act on that impulse.

THE BLOG:

This is a dream I have had for quite a while now. It was started in 2013 under the name [Life is so] Delish as a place to share some of my passions and to participate in open and honest discussions about pretty much anything (except politics, because it angers me too much). In 2017 I decided Delish no longer aligned with my passions and decided to transform it into something new and more focused. Despite the changes, I want this to be a place people want to come and read about trends or guilty pleasures, seek inspiration, discuss [or discover] their passions, or just escape for a while. But honestly, none of this can happen without you. So, if you like what you have seen so far, please comment on posts, pin them, email me and tell me what you want to see...reach out & spread the word! Together we can make this blog beautiful.
