Fun fact: I love anything shabby chic. Translation: I think upcycling is fabulous. So when I logged into my email today and opened my HGTV Inspiration Newsletter I was thrilled to see the headline "Genius New Ways to Use Old Stuff."
I suddenly have the overwhelming urge to go hiking through the woods on a hunt for sticks to make this beautiful mirror. Can you believe it is that simple!? Spray painted sticks...are you kidding? Genius!

I am literally obsessed with this. I feel obligated to immediately make it...if I had a random shutter laying around. I just love it. It is so creative & adorable.
I was SO excited when I saw this. I actually have a contraption on my wall to hold scarves, wristlets, and miscellaneous accessories. I used brushed nickle Command hooks (these), a matching nickle curtain rod (similar), and shower curtain s-hooks (similar). I simply measured a space about two inches smaller than the curtain rod, attached the Command hooks, and placed the curtain rod on them. Be sure not to buy a curtain rod thicker than the hooks can hold, but also make sure it is sturdy enough. I ended up switching out my first rod for a sturdier one after it bowed to the point I feared it would break. Now it is perfect -- all of my accessories organized & easily accessible at my fingertips. Sorry I do not have a photo of my own! Perhaps I will take one and add it in later.
