Wellness Wednesday: Pass the Pie, Please!

As we move into another week of Wellness Wednesday (WW), I want to appeal to all of the sweet tooth Betty's out there. I know we have been talking about Formula 1 for a couple of weeks now, but I want to spend this one talking about another way you can use F1 for meal replacement. That's right, pie!

For the first WW talked about the foundation of Herbalife's weight-management products, Formula 1, diving into the specifics of [read more HERE if you missed it]. Last week we talked about how you can use F1 to make delicious mug cakes [read more HERE if you missed it]. Realizing that not everyone is a cake person (though I find you non-cake people rather strange, if we are being honest), I didn't want to overlook the pies.

Pies are a go-to for me when it comes to lunches. Since I cut them and freeze each piece separately after it sets, all I have to do before I leave for work in the morning is grab a container out of the fridge. I don't even refrigerate it most of the time once I get to work since it is already frozen. My absolute favorite flavor is Mint Chocolate Chip.

When I make mine, I usually use chocolate pudding because I am not a huge fan of vanilla. If you want it to be green (I know coloring is important to some people when it comes to mint), use vanilla. For the pie crust, I think the Oreo pie crust tastes the best (obviously) but you could just as easily use chocolate or graham cracker. Each piece, and remember there should be eight fairly equal pieces, is approximately 245 calories (more than a traditional shake because of the crust and cool whip).

The best part? That's right, you haven't even heard the best part. As if under 300 calories per piece isn't news enough. It takes less than 10 minutes to make (minus chilling for an hour, which doesn't really count) and gives you eight meals! Maybe I should refer to pie as the Lazy Girls Go-To for Weekly Lunches because that pretty much sums it up for me. I love to eat, but I don't love to prep (another group of people who I find strange -- those who enjoy food prep) so eight meals in less than ten minutes is totally my jam...or my pie, as the case may be.

Questions? Let me know!

Literally going to make a pie tonight now. Thanks for the inspiration, guys!
