We survived Labor Day, despite how little many of us are ready to see summer go. I, on the other hand, am ecstatic for Fall. It is by far my favorite time of year. Lets get into the season by preparing our interiors.
1) Swap out your accent colors.
Time to add a little warmth to your space. Swap out your brights for warmer reds or oranges. Not feeling brave enough for bold colors? Stick with a warm tan or brown instead.
2) Add warm throws and area rugs.
Look how warm and cozy this space looks? A lot of that is because of the different textures. By bringing in soft & warm rugs, pillow and throws this space is completely transformed for the cooler months.
3) Pack away summer bedding.
Layer on those warm blankets. Nothing feels more fall than getting cozy under the layers of covers on a cool fall night.
4) Get ready for fires.
If you have an indoor fireplace, contact the professionals to come in and do a once-over. Make sure your fireplace is safe & ready to use on cool fall nights. Doing this now will save you a huge headache and significant loss down the road. If you have an outdoor firepit, stock up on your s'mores supplies...as your last chance to use them for the year is certainly this time of year!
5) Move in the fall scents.
Time to bust out all of those warm scented candles! Vanilla, pumpkin, cinnamon...mmmmm.
Now, are you as exciting for the season change as I am!?
