Month In Review: December & January

So I sat down to make my January month in review post and realized that I never posted December! So, we have a little catching up to do...

December in Review:

1. Stitches & Lady waited patiently for the Christmas tree to go up on the 1st so that they could claim their spots underneath.
2. I started putting presents under the tree so Stitches & Lady would stop running in circles around the tree skirt.
3 & 4. I was responsible for making cupcakes for the Student Appreciation Party at work, which was luau themed, so I made Orange & Pink Lemonade cupcakes.
5. A shot of some of my tree -- I love those reindeer!
6. My little lady, snuggling on my lap. Isn't she precious?
7. Stitches & Lady love snuggling by Christmas tree light.
8. Keeping warm in frigid temperatures with fleece lined leggings and mukluks.
9. Campus was transformed into a winter wonderland when I left work at 11pm.
10. I painted my nails for the holidays. Which very rarely happens.
11. My new 2014 wall calendar came in and I could not wait to put it up in my office. I love love love the color coded dot theme.
12. I signed up to bring dessert to the holiday luncheon and upon request from one of my co-workers I made dark chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing.
13. At the end of finals week, I went out to dinner with a few of my students. Afterward we played Jenga. This photo is the before and after.
14. My new sweatshirt, courtesy of Abercrombie & Fitch. And my new book necklace from Poland.
15. Stitches is the best present under the tree!
16. Rocking my favorite holiday sweater & leopard print Christmas hat.
17. My newest bling: gold Michael Kors watch.
18. Guilty pleasure: Haagen Dazs coffee ice cream.
19. Christmas morning, overflowing presents under the tree.
20. Stitches loves the new box he got for Christmas.

January in Review:

1. Oh you know, just stuck at work in the middle of a blizzard.
2. The frigid temperatures AKA polar hell from the beginning of the month.
3. My handsome man didn't like when I had to go back to work after holiday break; he would rather me stay home & snug (as would I).
4. I was cleaning out some old stuff in my office and came across a bunch of old cards and notes from high school. I didn't even know I still had them! Too funny.
5. Lady was enjoying Ukrainian Christmas, with the tree lit up all day.
6. As I was taking down the book tree at work, I started building a book igloo. This was before it collapsed and was re-built.
7. This is the book igloo after rebuilt and the addition of the support beam to keep it from collapsing again.
8. Just the astronomical total (over a thousand dollars) of my Lia Sophia wish list. Luckily, I was able to get most of it for under $250 after having a catalog party.
9. Lady snuggling with her snowman.
10. We had a warm day and I was so happy to break out the Sperry's and wear one of my fave outfits.
11. Working in the library before it opens can be a bit spooky, but I don't mind.
12. What is this, you ask? That would be me...hanging out on my patio in the cold because my key would not work and I could not get into my house. A half hour later, I finally got in.

Here is hoping this month is more exciting!
