Is your home ready for an upgrade? Who's isn't, really? Check out some of these top trends for 2015.
Blue is the new black.
Blue is the interior color of the year. Whether you simply accent with it like in the photo above (isn't that mirror wall to die for!?!), paint a whole room or maybe just switch out a backsplash it is surely going to give your home a whole new look.
Keep it neutral.
Not into the bold colors? Keep it neutral. Greige (is that really a color?) is in this year! Conveniently I love both beige and grey in a home.
All about the wood.
Whether you are replacing some of the wooden items you have (tables, floor, etc.) or simply updating them, make them stunning. I am literally obsessed with this raw wood island top. And while I am not ready nor willing to jump back on the paneling train, wood paneling is said to make a retro comeback (ugh, but can it not?).
Accent rugs.
I have never had the pleasure of wood (or concrete, as I would prefer) floors so this is a trend I am always upset to miss out on. Someday, though. There is just something about expressing yourself through accent rugs. So, throw a runner down your hallway or completely change the look of you main living area with one of these beauties.
Pattern play.
Go bold with your new splash. It takes a lot of guts to go with black, but look how stunning it looks! I mean...I would not personally do more than one wall in it, but it certainly makes a statement. Not your thing? Try a new geo pattern or simply make it bright & shiny.
Statement lighting.
Lighting does not only have to be practical. Use it to make a statement; as a centerpiece to your room. I love the steel piece above, but I also love some of the crazier ones I have seen as of late. It is a fairly simple way to change the look (and feel) of an entire room without a huge overhaul.
In case you cannot tell, I am a huge HGTV fanatic. I sometimes wish that when I went to look at an interior design school that I would have just went with it. But, measuring is not my strong suit and I was terrified of that. Maybe I will make that a goal of mine this year -- to get better at measuring. Anyway, all of the photos above are linked back to HGTV's Favorite Trends to Try in 2015 gallery. I hope you found this inspirational & are hyped up about making some changes this year!

Pattern play.
Pattern play is not just for your wardrobe, you can use it in your home as well. Update your stripes or chevron with different geometrical prints. Honeycomb is said to be huge this year.
Backsplash re-do.
