It is no secret to those close to me (though I have not mentioned it much here), but I have been itching to move. Aside from the fact that I am ready for a locational change, I need to get out of my house. It is a crappy little mold-infested, foundation troubled rental property. It is beyond unhealthy and I see signs of it's toll on my body almost daily. Unfortunately, I do not have the money or a new job lined up to move right now. In the mean time, I have been over-indulging in some HGTV and dreams of beautiful spaces. This week I am focusing on kitchens; these are some of my favorite tends right now...

Retro


Normally, I hate retro. So no one is more surprised than me that I am loving it right now. I absolutely adore this pop of color kitchen with these retro flair stools. So simple and I love love love it!

Wood


I think the kitchen is one of the few places that you can overstate wood. Huge wood block tops or islands are the perfect statement in a kitchen -- subtle yet stunning.

Glam


Kitchen glam is not something I am usually into, but I think it can be done beautifully. The images above prove that. Glowing floors and backsplashes coupled with beautiful light fixtures can do the trick.

Rustic


I love all things rustic and kitchens are no exception. Seriously, it doesn't get any better than this.
