I almost had a bit of a panic attack when I realized May was coming to an end already! I had to get my butt in gear and put together the June Style Challenge. So, without adding any further suspense...here it is...
1. Back to Basics. Keep is simple and focus on your basic pieces. Your favorites.
2. Anchors Away. Time to get nautical! Break out all of your anchor patterns.
3. Colorblock Party. Oh yes, we are turning the block party into a colorblock party! Show me your best colorblock outfit.
4. [GAP]ples & [BANANA]s. I want to see your favorite Gap & Banana Republic outfits. Clever, right? Haha. No, I was just feeling silly and now every time I read it I have the apples and bananas song in my head.
5. Neon Statement. Make a statement with a neon piece (or two, or three).
6. Summer Sandals. Run, don't walk to get your pedicure because I want to see the funkiest summer sandals you own!
7. Tomboy Chic. The boys have always had it easier when it comes to fashion. Time to get a little tomboy chic. Break out those boyfriend jeans, wear a baggy tee...whatever strikes your fancy.
8. Orange You Glad. I know I am. Let's wear orange today. I probably only do three times a year so today is as good as any.
9. Just Palmy. I want to live among the palm trees right now, but I guess I will have to settle for wearing them.
10. Lilly Love. It is no secret that I love all things Lilly Pulitzer -- time to share it today!
11. Pattern Play. Pattern mixing is a must. Break out of your comfort zone and have fun with it.
12. Sunnies Side Up. Oh yes, show me your sunnies! I have a new-found obsession with sunglasses so I am not-so-patiently awaiting this one.
13. Hats Off To You. Read above and then apply it to this one also. I am suddenly a hat person. Weird.
14. Picnic Perfect. So I don't know about you, but I will be working today. However, I will likely be wishing I was outside at an overflowing picnic (overflowing with food, that is). That said I am planning to dress like I am at said picnic.
15. Creatures of the Sea. Read above and replace the word "picnic" with "beach" because I pretty much always wish that I was there. You too? Add a creature of the sea to your outfit today. I am thinking whale, seahorse, starfish...etc.
16. Fancy Flamingos. Flamingos have got to be one of the fanciest animals. Why can't I be pink and stand around on one leg all day? I am a fairly balanced person. Anyway, add some flamingos (or flamingo pink) to your outfit today.
17. Simply Skirted. Wear a skirt. Simple, right?
18. Tropical Thursday. Channel somewhere tropical and awesome today. Skip the coconut bra though, ok? Unless you really feel it is a must...then who am I to stand in your way!?
19. Casual Friday. Keep it casual.
20. Show Me Some Skin. It's hot out...let your freak flag fly.
21. Favorite Color. Incorporate your favorite color into your outfit today. I promise not to be head-to-toe pink or black. Maybe.
22. Bow Babe. Rock a bow of some description today.
23. Stripes & Blooms. You know I am a sucker for all things floral. Add that with some pattern mixing and we have stripes & blooms. Let's do this.
24. Tied Up in Knots. Tie your shirt, wear a dress or shorts that tie or simply wear a top knot.
25. Black w/a Pop of Color. Black is classic; everyone knows that. Spice it up a bit with a pop of color.
26. Life's A Beach. Remember that time I said I always want to be at the beach? Yeah, repeat. Wear an outfit that reminds you of the beach today.
27. Root for the Home Team. Time to broadcast your team affiliations. For the record, I am a Phillies girl all the way.
28-30. Patriotic Week Begins. Every year I take the entire week before Independence Day and wear all patriotic/red, white and blue outfits. This year, I invite you to join me!
