Let's talk backsplashes today. They provide us with a simple way to change an entire look of a space, and so many options to do so. So, these are some of my favorites...

Ornate


I absolutely love ornate backsplashes...from afar. I would never do one in my own kitchen because of 1) cost, 2) I lack patience, and 3) they would be a huge PIA to clean. However, I do admire them in others' kitchens. The stainless piece in the top left is jaw dropping. The retro look in the top right is so fun and adds a lot of character to the space. The bottom left is a little difficult to see, but I love the all white, ridged designs. To bold colors in the bottom right is so fun, yet classic.

Stainless


Perhaps one of my absolute favorite types of backsplash is stainless steel. They are so beautiful and who does not love a little bit of bling in their kitchen (or anywhere in the house, really). I just love love love them.

Glass


If you are looking for a super clean look in your kitchen, glass tile is the way to go. It is so crisp and sterile, and pretty to boot! I think the iridescent look is so unique and gorgeous. Must we really talk about the benefits of bling in the home!?

Subway


My top choice for tiling anywhere--subway tile. It is so versatile and looks top-notch. White subway tile, like the top photos, is clean and nice. Add some color, like in the bottom right, if you want a little extra pizazz.
