Disclaimer: I watched way too much HGTV this weekend. That said, I have a new-found fascination for arched doorways. I really don't know what it is about them or why I never noticed it before, but there is just something about them. They just add so much character to a space.


A subtle arch, as pictured in the top right and bottom left corners, creates such a lovely transition from room to room. More defined arches, like the top left and bottom right photos add height to a room while making a bold and beautiful statement.


I never actually considered the possibility of an exterior arched doorway until just a few moments ago. I was drooling over the interior arches while watching HGTV this weekend and just now while I was on the hunt for the beauties pictured above. Then it hit me -- if you can arch interior doorways, exterior ones could be too! And we all know my obsession with front doors. So many possibilities! I personally prefer arched french doors, as pictured in the top left and bottom right. They are simply stunning.
