Style Steal: Pattern Play

I am back, with yet another Style Steal. Today I want to focus on a little bit of pattern play, and no one does pattern play quite as well as The Serena Saga.

I love love love pattern play and although it can be challenging, I think you will like it if you give it a shot. Below are two options for this amazing look, but a little more cold-weather-friendly.

Option A:
- Striped Sweater (Tommy), $49.99
- Gingham Shirt (Forever 21), $19.90
- Dot Skirt (Lord & Taylor), $51.69
- Black Pumps (BCBGeneration), $49.99
Grand Total: $171.57

Option B:
- Striped Sweater (Banana Republic), $69.95
- Gingham Shirt (Vineyard Vines), $88
- Dot Skirt (Ann Taylor), $89
- Black Pumps (Michael Kors), $99
Grand Total: $345.95

I know Option A is a littler higher than usual, but finding a decent striped sweater for cheap was a lot harder than I would have thought. You could definitely achieve this look for less, especially considering most of us own a striped sweater already. Color is really not important since it is the only pop of color in the outfit (navy gingham doesn't count).

So what do you think...would you give pattern play a go?
