If you have been following my posts over the past few days, you know that I had a rough week. It was cheat week extraordinaire and I am kicking myself in the ass repeatedly for it. I mean, beating myself up hardcore. This week I am trying extra hard to get back on track.
To do this I think it is important to remind myself that it is ok not to be perfect. There will be days that don't go as planned; days I am extra hungry; days I am craving something I shouldn't have. As long as those days are fewer than days I am good, it doesn't matter. As long as I am still progressing toward my goals, it doesn't matter. What does matter is not beating myself up over every single slip up. It isn't worth it. One of my goals with this healthier lifestyle is to be happier...which I can't do if I am hating myself for stupid things that at the end of the day don't matter.
Just remember that NO ONE is perfect. Not even the drop-dead gorgeous beauties who seem to have everything that you follow on social media. We all have shortcomings; failures. It's the fact that we push through them and keep going that matters. So, keep going and reward yourself along the way, because that makes the journey much more enjoyable than punishing yourself.
