Yes, my darlings, you did read that title right. The words wellness and cake were used in the same sentence...in a positive manner no less. And yes, it is real.
Last Wednesday we focused on Formula 1 and how it is the foundation of Herbalife's weight-management products. Over one million shakes are consumed each day in more than ninety countries around the world, but that does not mean they are the only option. [If you missed last week's post, check it out HERE first so you have a little more F1 background before moving forward.]
When I first started using Herbalife I immediately took to Instagram and Snapchat, posting photo after photo of my favorite mug cakes. I got a lot of comments like "Because it is in a mug that makes it ok?" and "Cake for breakfast, really?" Yes, really! They were all made using Formula One, were less than 300 calories AND counted as my meal replacement.
On mornings when I get up on time and things are running smoothly, these are my preferred breakfast. I mean, really, who doesn't want to start their day off with cake!? It is like a recipe for success! Not to mention it gives me the opportunity to sit down for a few minutes before heading out the door and just have some me time (as opposed to taking my shake off of the Ninja and literally running out the door, drinking it on my walk to work).
My absolute favorite mug cake is Blueberry Muffin Mug Cake (obviously, since I told you all last week how I used to eat blueberry muffins for breakfast some mornings before Herbalife). They are seriously SO good! And super simple to make -- follow the recipe above and you have a delicious (& healthy) cake breakfast in less than five minutes. This particular one rings in at 285 calories (more than the shake mentioned last week because of the oil and blueberries) which is still less than a latte and real blueberry muffin.
Just like with the shakes, there are endless possibilities of mug cake flavors due to the extensive F1 options. Another one of my favorite is Orange Cream -- it is delicious. My Mom really enjoys Pumpkin Spice.
Top them off with a dab of light vanilla yogurt and you are golden!
So, do you want cake for breakfast? Reach out and let me know. Still think I am crazy? Somewhat true, but when it comes to this my increasing weightloss says otherwise. Cake for breakfast is real AND healthy, when it's Herbalife!
