I have been a little MIA lately, but you didn't think I would forget about August's #LibLooksStyleChallenge, did you? Some fun prompts ahead, so we should just dive right in --
The daily themes are as follows:
Crayola Color My Sunday (start the week off bright)
Jewelry Monday (bust out the bling)
Tropical Tuesday (b/c we all wish we were somewhere else)
Wing It Wednesday (just wing it, and hope for the best)
Sweet Treat Thursday (flavors of summer)
Summer Fun Friday (fair/boardwalk-inspired)
Strappy Saturday (b/c minus the tanlines, they're awesome)
Wednesday 8/1: Oh hi, Cacti. Hopping on board the cactus trend today...care to join me?
Thursday 8/2: Pineapple Dole Whip. First of all, dole whip is my absolute favorite (not pineapple though...fun fact, I only eat it on pizza). Whether you opt for a pineapple print, throw on a pop of yellow or decide to wear a crown today, rep this prickly fruit in some way.
Friday 8/3: Bumper Boats. Because I am hanging onto summer and nautical prompts for dear life right now.
Saturday 8/4: Caged Cami. Go ahead, imprison your boobs and neckline.
Sunday 8/5: Electric Lime Green. Basically, the brightest lime you can find.
Monday 8/6: Bauble or Druzy. One of my go-tos when it comes to jewelry prompts. Are you Team Bauble or Team Druzy? There was a time that I was Bauble all the way, but I am definitely Team Druzy now.
Tuesday 8/7: Bright Blue Lagoon. Think summery ocean blues and/or palm trees.
Wednesday 8/8: Pleats & Thank You. If we are going to show off our legs in the sunshine, we should make it extra fancy with some pleats today.
Thursday 8/9: Key Lime Pie. Because lime is so fantastic, once a week just wasn't enough. This can be a little more subtle if the electric version was a bit out of your comfort zone.
Friday 8/10: Tilt-a-Whirl. I am picturing very twirl-worthy skirts and dresses today.
Saturday 8/11: Strappy Sandals or Heels. AKA statement shoes.
Sunday 8/12: Razzle Dazzle Rose. I seriously adore this color name...and the color itself isn't bad either. Hey, at least it isn't as neon & wild as last week's.
Monday 8/13: All Choked Up. Truth be told, I don't even know if chokers are still a thing anymore. I heard a girl talking about them behind me in line at Ulta the other day so I figured I would just go with it. They're a thing now. Bam. (I do know bam isn't a thing, but I still like it. It is what it is.)
Tuesday 8/14: Cool Island Breeze. Reference last Tuesday and repeat. My creativity was lacking this month, sorry.
Wednesday 8/15: Long & Short of It. Let's see those long maxis or cute shorts. Or a high-low top/skirt/dress. Or whatever version of long/short you're into today.
Thursday 8/16: Splash of Lemon. Looking forward to all of those fab lemon prints today. I, sadly, do not have any so I will be opting for a pop of yellow.
Friday 8/17: Slip 'n Slide. You know me, any excuse for a prompt involving slides. [Dear 90s, I welcome you back with open arms! But maybe not the acid wash.]
Saturday 8/18: Criss Cross Top. Unlike the beginning of the month, a simple criss-cross would do. I took a long time to come around to this trend because I don't dig plunging necklines as much as I once did. Now that I know there are somewhat modest ones out there, I am all for it.
Sunday 8/19: Unmellow Yellow. Good news: this one is not neon!
Monday 8/20: Good As Gold. Whatever jewelry you are into today, as long as it is gold.
Tuesday 8/21: Yacht Party Invite. Prep it up today, ladies!
Wednesday 8/22: Self-destructive Diva. I am seriously looking forward to breaking out a pair of destructed jeans today.
Thursday 8/23: Cherry Water Ice. 1) My absolute fave water ice. Hold the chunks of fruit though please. 2) How do I not have any cherry print items? 3) A super easy color to work into your wardrobe.
Friday 8/24: Bottle Ring Toss. If I am working, I am simply going to try to remember to put on a ring or two in the morning. If I am off, I am simply going to carry around a bottle of wine as my accessory.
Saturday 8/25: Strappy High Neck. If you are lounging by the pool today, high neck swimwear has me going gaga. If not, perhaps a high neck bralette or cami.
Sunday 8/26: Radical Red. If you ask me, it is more of a coral than a red...but I love the name!
Monday 8/27: Crystal Clear. Diamonds for you lucky ducks, cubic zirconia for the rest of us. 😂
Tuesday 8/28: Let's Flamingle. That's right, I am throwing in another flamingo prompt before summer ends.
Wednesday 8/29: The Cat's Meow. Let's face it, school is officially back in session as of two days ago and all I want is to hide under the covers with my furry babies. Cat prints, cat ears, cat jewelry, take your cat to work. 😁
Thursday 8/30: Orange Sherbet. Orange is a seriously underrated color. Give it chance.
Friday 8/31: The Zipper. Simple right? Wear something with a zipper in honor of my absolute favorite fair ride. Google it.
