January #LLBwardroberemix

Welcome to the very first #LLBwardroberemix! Let's recap, in case you missed the last post. Each month I am going to give you 40 prompts, broken down into 8 categories. You can do any prompt, from any category, on any day you want. This challenge works around your schedule, while still providing a hint of inspiration. Let's dive into this months prompts.

Accessories:
Arm Candy. Show off your favorite bracelets.
Crossbody Hottie. My absolute favorite bag right now: the crossbody.
Hats of to 2019. Any kind of hat, any way you want to wear it (my 12y/o self is screaming at me to wear a backwards ball cap).
Scarf Obsessed. Pashmina, knit, blanket, infinity...whatever type of scarf strikes your fancy.
Statement Necklace. Spice up your look with a bold statement necklace.

Brands:
On the Express Train. Express will always be my go-to store for work clothes so this will be an easy one for me. Not an Express girl? Channel train conductors and wear stripes instead.
JCrew Mate. This is the perfect time of year to pop on a cute JCrew sweater or turtleneck. Not your thing? Try a crewneck top instead.
NY&C State of Mind. New York & Co is another staple in my work wardrobe. If you do not share in this, google New York street style and recreate a look of your own.
Out w/the Old Navy. Everyone loves Old Navy, right? If not, opt for a navy piece today.
Right on Target. I am pretty sure half of my cardigan collection is from Target. Anyone else? If Target clothes are not your cup of tea, you could opt for red...or as much as it pains me to type this, deer print.

Colors:
Cool Winter Blue. I love pretty pastel blues this time of year.
Grayscale Gal. Keep it simple in white, black and gray. Color-free zone for this one.
Pantone Color of the Year: Living Coral. Not a color I would typically opt for in January, but I am loving this years Pantone COY so I am pumped!
Pinch of Pastel. All the pastel, all month long. Am I right? Or at least once...
Winter White. White after Labor Day is NOT a thing, IMO. So, whether you opt for run-of-the-mill white or winter white, pick a day to go bold with this one.

New & Old:
EUC (excellent used condition). That's right, we are all about the faves. Those pieces we have worn a billion times but baby the crap out of it because we don't ever want to get rid of it.
Fave from 2018. A favorite item, accessory or entire outfit from 2018.
NWT (new with tags). Bust the tags off of something you haven't worn yet.
Unworn 3 months. Wear something you haven't worn since September 2018.
Unworn 6 months. Wear something you haven't worn since June 2018.

Patterns:
Buffalo Plaid Beauty. The best plaid.
Darling Damask. An elegant pattern to start of the new year.
Double the Dots. Because one set of dots simple isn't enough. Double or nothing.
Fair Isle Frenzy. Just because the holiday season is winding down (remember, some of us don't celebrate until January), doesn't mean fair isle sweaters have to.
Houndstooth Honey. Get fancy in a houndstooth print.

Sweater Weather:
Boucle Babe. Boucle sweaters are popping up all over the place. I even saw a boucle scarf the other day *swoon*
Cardigan Queen. Top off you look with a cardigan.
Chunky Knit. Time to get cozy in a chunky knit sweater.
Dreaming of Dusters. A trend I am so pleased to have back. Duster sweaters and hands down the most comfortable and stylish in the sweater bunch.
Toasty Turtleneck. What can I say? I love a good turtleneck!

Textures:
Corduroy. Aside from the fact that I love the books, I also love the texture. And if you ask me, we do not wear (or read) it enough!
Faux Fur. In any way you'd like. I am a sucker for faux fur scarves, personally.
Leather. I don't see me busting out the leather pants anytime soon, but I do have a leather-paneled dress I have been wanting to wear.
Shearling. I mean, you don't even have to get out of bed for this one.
Velvet. I took a long time to come around to this one, but I am swooning over all things velvet swing dress right now. But any velvet will do. Anyone brave enough to own velvet pants? I want it all!

Winter Wear:
Cold-weather Critters. Basically, an excuse to wear your cute critter sweaters.
Duck Boots. It's bound to snow in January...right?
Fleece-lined Leggings. I will likely opt-out of this one (as a person who is always hot), but I know a lot of you will love it!
OTK Boots. Over the knee boots for you brave, brave souls (of which I am not).
Best in a Vest. Top off with a vest today. My favorite!

And for my fellow paper girls out there. You know, with all of the planners and calendars mapping out every hour of the day. I have printables (that won't deplete your ink cartridges)! I assumed many of you would keep it simple with the standard 8.5x11 size but I also knew that I wanted a smaller size that would tuck into my Passion Planner Pro...so you have the option of which works best for you. Click the image(s) below to download whichever size works for you.

Remember to use the brand-spanking-new hashtag: #LLBwardroberemix. I cannot wait to see how you take these prompts and make them your own!
