I don't know about you, but I am SO over winter. It has been beautiful the past couple of days, but we are expecting snow & ice Thursday/Friday and I am...unwilling to participate in such nonsense. Truly, I am ignoring that it is even a possibility. At this point, I am looking ahead to spring and transitioning into some lighter layers.
It is no secret that I am not a huge fan of winter. I mean, I love those days where it snows all day long but doesn't actually accumulate...but that's about it. What I do love, however, is sweater weather! The bigger & cozier, the better! So, for that reason alone, I am excited to share #WinterLibLooks with you!
I have been procrastinating putting this together for a while now because I was not ready for Fall. Weird, right? Usually I am the first one to shout "BRING ON FALL!" But it wasn't until the past few days of temperatures in the nineties that I gave up on summer. I am over it. So, let's look ahead to fall weather and breaking out our autumn wardrobe.
I have been very open about my style challenge struggle for the past couple of years. There have been times I have wanted to give them up so badly, but I just keep coming back to the community. I love all of the people I have met through participating in and hosting style challenges. So I am constantly changing things up, trying to keep myself interested enough to not quit hosting. So here it is, my latest attempt: seasonal challenges.
Truth? I sucked at the color challenge last month. I can probably count on one hand how many times I followed it. Actually, I don't even know if that's true...that is how seldom I even checked. I am hoping that switching out my seasonal wardrobe sparked something, anything, to make me excited about getting dressed again. Anyway, there are some really great palettes for May and if nothing else, I am excited about that!
I just switched out my seasonal clothing this weekend and I am ready to kiss cold weather goodbye. Unfortunately, the low in upstate PA tonight is in the thirties, so I don't know how well this is actually going to go. Let's dig into the new prompts anyway, shall we?
I am the first to admit that I am still struggling with this challenge a little. I love how it inspires me to reach for items that I typically wouldn't, at least maybe not during a specific week. But man, it can be tough some mornings. I find it most helpful on the mornings when the #LibLooksStyleChallenge isn't speaking to me. How is it working for you?
I don't know what it is about Spring this year, but I am loving it. Typically, I am a Fall gal though and through. Any other season is just whatever. I have never been so excited for Spring in my life. I am loving the warmer temperatures, the ability to wear light jackets on repeat, the rain, and most of all, my crisp walk to work in the morning. I look forward to continuing my (slightly strange) enjoyment of all things Spring wardrobe through the use of the prompts ahead...
Two months of the color challenge in the books and I am feeling better about it, how about you? Just like in January, I experienced a few mornings in February that I was just not jiving with the palette so I skipped it, but I think that is to be expected. Moving into March and FIVE new palettes, I am looking forward to more variety. The month ahead spans the entire rainbow and I am really looking forward to it.
