I was a little late to hop on the Mule train. I was clog obsessed in high school so I was pretty excited to have this come back around, but in a different way...it was just the whole no-sock thing that was getting to me. I can officially say I am over it and now want all of my shoes to be backless (AKA blister proof)! I have scoured the web to find some fantastic finds -- all of the mules featured in this post are under $50!
We talked earlier in the month about how fur is here to stay for yet another winter season. I can hear the fur vests that I bought on clearance last year cheering from my closet upstairs, not only because they are still relevant but because this trend is so strong that they may begin to multiply. I have rounded up eight fantastic faux fur options, all under $50 each!
While the temperatures may not have made it apparent, winter has been loitering for a couple months now. Moving into the new year with new colder temperatures for us East Coasters, the winter trends are just now beginning to get more and more hype. As usual, I think some of the designers hit the eggnog a little too hard when coming up with some of their so-called masterpieces. That said, I decided to round up some of my favorites that I will be partaking in until Spring decides to grace us with it's presence to share with you.
One of Fall's biggest trends is ponchos. I hesitated bringing them up because I was not sure how I felt about them. After seeing them flood my Instagram feed for over a month now, I am starting to come around. While I am not a huge fan of all of them, there are some that I really like. Some of my favorites are featured below...
One of my absolute favorite trends from last year was plaid and I am SO happy that it will be sticking around for Fall. I know there are still a lot of plaid skeptics out there; I used to be one of them. Every time I would see someone in plaid I would think "you know you are not in a barn, right?" Not anymore. Plaid is finally fashionable (when style right, that is) and I am loving it!
It pains me to even discuss the reality that despite our protests, summer is beginning to wind down and back-to-school is just around the corner. Unlike some of you, I will make a quick recovery because Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. With it comes cooler temperatures, beautiful scenery, and best of all...an excuse for more shopping (as if one is even necessary). Check out some of my Back-to-School wardrobe must haves...
One of the biggest style trends of the season is definitely hats and I have to say--I'm loving it! I have never been a hat person before, but for whatever reason I recently started loving them. One day a few months ago I was strolling around Target when I came across the hat section. For an unknown reason, I decided I wanted to try them on because they were to cute to pass up [sidenote: I have never done this before. Trying on hats grosses me out. One word: lice.]. Much to my surprise, I liked them...actually on my person! It has been downhill since then.
Now that I have an interest in hats, I have been seeing them everywhere! So, I pulled some of my faves (from Target, of course) to share with you.

One of my absolute favorite trends is dress shorts. I am so glad that they popped on the scene a few years ago and stuck around ever since. I seriously live in them all summer long. Considering I walk to work, they are essentially the only option that allows me to get to work without looking and feeling like a drowned rat. Really though.
I have been completely obsessed with pineapples and flamingos this season. Ever since the first one I saw in stores, I was hooked. I have came across some fantastic deals on these items within the past week or so (some of which I simply could not resist purchasing) and I though it only right to share with you.

It is no secret to those close to me (though I have not mentioned it much here), but I have been itching to move. Aside from the fact that I am ready for a locational change, I need to get out of my house. It is a crappy little mold-infested, foundation troubled rental property. It is beyond unhealthy and I see signs of it's toll on my body almost daily. Unfortunately, I do not have the money or a new job lined up to move right now. In the mean time, I have been over-indulging in some HGTV and dreams of beautiful spaces. This week I am focusing on kitchens; these are some of my favorite tends right now...
