It has been quite some time since I posted anything other than a style/wardrobe challenge. Since I had a bit of time on my hands (winter break), I thought I would put together a Winter Must Haves list. I love doing these and there are so many things I am crushing on right now.

I just got home from Christopher & Banks Spring Style Show and OH MY GOSH was it amazing! First of all, the whole store is on sale for 25% off and models in the show received 40% off so basically everything is a steal! I am in love with all of the Spring colors and patterns that I spent the morning with. I wanted so much more than what I actually ended up leaving with, but let's take a look at my haul --

I feel like not a lot of people know this about me, but one of my guilty pleasures is holiday sweaters. I could seriously have an endless amount in my wardrobe and be ridiculously happy about it. For someone who hates Christmas, I am over the moon for these sweaters (and Christmas movies). The cornier, the better. Guilty as charged. To make matters worse, when I went out today, I ended up adding two more to my collection...and wanting several more. So, if you are in the market a good holiday sweater...this is the post for you.

I spent the day yesterday indulging in a little retail therapy. While I did not suffer from any shopaholic blackouts, I did find some really great pieces that I cannot wait to try out. One of the main goals of my shopping trip was to head to Christopher & Banks and plan out my must haves for the Friends & Family sale next week.

By now I am sure you have seen my overload of posts from Christopher & Banks Girls Night Out event on Thursday. It was incredibly exciting to get dressed up and head to my local C&B to hang out and talk fall fashion with such wonderful customers.

Sooooo....my name is Amanda and I am a shopaholic. I haven't had a blackout shopping experience in a while, but that winning streak came to an abrupt end last night. I signed up to work the Christopher & Banks Friends and Family event and that is usually the beginning of my shopaholic downfalls.

It is the Christopher & Banks Fall for You Style Event. I spent my morning at my closest store being a model in the Style Show. I love doing this for a number of reasons: 1) I am obsessed with C&B, 2) I get to spend time with amazing people, and 3) I really miss working retail sometimes. Oh, and did I mention the 40% off discount for doing it? So basically, I walked around all morning in their clothes, helping wonderful women pick cute outfits to purchase and then purchased a ton of stuff at 40% off...score!

In the words of Britney Spears "oops, I did it again." Yeah, I went shopping yesterday. I had to run up to the mall to exchange a pair of pants and of course I could not pass up the Semi Annual Sale at Christopher & Banks. But you know me, I couldn't just walk out with only sale items. I basically lost my mind last weekend. I went shopping and spent waaaayyy too much money. Big surprise, right? I have some awesome scores as a result though, so I guess it was worth it.

Well folks, time to cut myself off again. I had every intention of attending the Lilly Pulitzer Warehouse Sale, but talked myself out of it a couple days in advance. I just don't think I am in any mood to deal with such an extreme amount of people. I will probably regret my decision, but oh well. There will be another one next year.

To make myself feel better about missing out on all of the goodies, I made an online impulse purchase. Check out my recently acquired goodies!

I went shopping with a friend last weekend with absolutely zero intention of buying anything. As you can guess, that did not work out so well for a shopaholic like myself. My failure is partially due to my lack of self control when it comes to all things style and fashion; also in part due to amazing deals. Time to pay it forward & share these wonderful deals with you.

Forever 21 ($31.70)

As I mentioned in my previous post, I had a pretty crazy day of shopping yesterday......and today for that matter. I went a little nuts. I don't really know what happened, but the trunk of the car was full both days. Oops. But the good news is that I got great deals!

So I guess the easiest way to do this would be to break it down by store...

Let me start off with a confession...technically I did not go Black Friday shopping. I went Brown Thursday shopping instead.

I know people made a huge deal about it, but I do not share in their feelings enough to not shop. Mainly because I am a shopaholic, but also because I grew up around law enforcement my entire life and while everyone sat at home with their families for holidays, mine was at work. Not everyone is fortunate enough to always have holidays off. Police, firefighters, first responders, doctors, nurses...they all give up their holidays for us and do not think twice about it. And as someone who used to work retail, I can understand being frustrated having to work Thanksgiving evening, but standing in a store dealing with irate & ungrateful people (you know, the ones who were thankful for everything just a few hours prior) is nothing compared to putting your life on the line for others.

Wow, I really did not intend to start this post with a huge rant so I am just going to move into the deals that I took advantage of last night...

I haven't done a Shopaholic Saturday post in a while, and we all know it certainly isn't because I have not been shopping. I have been doing more gift shopping lately than usual, but I still cannot break the habit of buying for myself at the same time. So, lets go over some of my recent (non-gift) purchases...

Already in my possession:

I have a short and sweet Shopaholic Saturday post tonight because I am super tired. I did purchase multiple things this week, but I am going to focus on some of my favorite purchases this week.

I purchased three pencil skirts this week and I love them all. I went shopping on Labor Day because apparently I didn't get enough of the sales over the weekend. I picked up the black pencil skirt above, as well as the same style in grey, from JCP for less than $35 total (on sale + 20% off coupon). I also got the scroll print pencil skirt above at NY&C tonight for less than $25 (buy one get one 1/2 off + $30 city cash).

It's official, I have a problem. No matter how hard I try, I can't stop shopping. These Labor Day says are killing me...or at least my wallet. Below are some of my purchases for this week, though I cannot link to them because they were redline clearance -- sorry!

Despite my attempt to conserve money for next month's travels, I went shopping today. I know, I know...big surprise. I have a serious illness...I cannot stop shopping. I originally decided to go to NY&C because it is their buy one get one free pants event, but I ended up striking out. Of course, I couldn't just take that as a sign that I am not supposed to be shopping. I did, however, limit my purchases and put all but two tops back.

Seriously, how was I supposed to leave without them!?! I am always looking for a simple but cute white blouse to layer under a cardigan so the Chiffon Front Ruffle Top was a perfect purchase. I cannot justify the Sheer Paisley Print Halter blouse quite the same way, I just fell in love with the colors and couldn't say no.

Remember that time I said I wasn't going to shop? Yeah right. You didn't believe me, did you? I think I believed it for a hot second...and then reality set in. I started going through withdrawal...and then I did the stupidest thing ever. I went to the mall. I made up some stupid excuse of this one thing I was looking for. I don't even remember what the one thing was, but I know I didn't leave with it. Here is what I did leave with though...

You are never going to believe this...I didn't go shopping this week! I didn't even have anything delivered that I was waiting on from the week prior. I don't remember the last time that happened. Not going to lie, I am pretty impressed with myself right now.

I did, however, get a list going for items I would like to add to my collection this month. It is a work in progress, but after seeing what is trending now and fall fashion predictions (I consider everything a prediction until it actually happens...sorry, I can't help it) I know a few must-haves before my students get back at the end of the month [or shortly thereafter].

I have a HUGE surprise for you: I already did my shopping for the week! Ok, so it wasn't really a surprise at all. I decided this week, since I have a big present purchase in this paycheck, that I was only buying new clothes for the gym. Last night, I went to Dick's Sporting Goods & Target to pick up some new gym wear.
