It is that time of year, where us East Coasters start planning our fall travels. I enjoying making my way up the east cost to view the foliage, as do thousands of other travelers. This year, I am thinking about planning a return visit to one of my favorite fall destinations -- Salem, MA.
The perfect fall destination for those seeking both land and water, foliage, a little bit of history, and something spooky too. My favorite time to visit is during Haunted Happenings. There is a street fair, a number of ghost tours, haunted houses, and of course...good food.

The last time I was there, they even had a Zombie Crawl! How cool!?
I didn't know this when I visited, but there is also a number of musicals and theatrical events. I definitely plan on packing these onto my itinerary for the next visit! I also recently found out that there is a Psychic Fair & Witchcraft Expo at the same time as Haunted Happenings which could prove to be interesting. Plus, the first Friday of the month through December is for celebrating arts & culture in Salem; it is the perfect time to take in live music, check out some gallery exhibitions and grab some great food.
Here is a collage of photos from my last visit...or should I say visits. The first time I went I loved it so much that I turned around and went back the next weekend.
So what do you think...worth the trip?
