As someone who does not have a mantel to call her own, I am in love with this faux fireplace! How cute!?!
I always have a hard time topping my tree. I am not a huge fan of angels and stars are so generic. This, however, is original AND glittery so basically a win.
I have been a HUGE fan of wire trees ever since I saw them on Pinterest a few years ago. I think they are absolutely adorable. I personally prefer the ones that are more tightly wound than this. Oh, and ribbon trees too!
I love love love non-traditionally colored trees. I like to shake it up a bit. Last year, I had a brown and gold tree. I have also done pink, purple & silver (my favorite colors, of course), as well as red, black and silver (my college colors -- the year I graduated) in the past. This year I am thinking of doing a peacock tree. I am one of those psychos who has tons and tons of different colored ornaments, but you can just as easily pick up some cheapos on clearance or from the dollar store and spray paint them whatever color you would like.
Upcycle old Christmas lights with a little glue & glitter. Add them to your tree, put them in a vase...whatever strikes your fancy.
