I think we all have the tendency to get into a bit of a funk beginning somewhere around Sunday afternoon. The Monday Funk. It happens to the best of us. But do you know what that does? It essentially sets up our Monday's to fail...or at least be mediocre.
For me, if I am in a Monday Funk...I am going to crash and burn hard. So if I feel myself slipping into one, I trick myself out of it. Shake up your Monday. Step outside of your routine. Extend your morning work out by ten minutes, eat a different breakfast, upgrade your coffee, wear something you have not worn in a while, grab a dozen donuts for the office...the possibilities are endless. I notice that when I am willing to step outside of my normal Monday routine and shake things up a bit, I am more likely to have a better day.
It's worth a shot right? Anything to not start off the week in a funk!
