By now I am sure you have seen my overload of posts from Christopher & Banks Girls Night Out event on Thursday. It was incredibly exciting to get dressed up and head to my local C&B to hang out and talk fall fashion with such wonderful customers.
Let's talk about my outfit that night. Christopher & Banks was so kind to send me these amazing pieces to wear to the Sip & Shop event and I immediately fell in love with them. One of my absolute favorite pieces in my closet right now is the Floral Utility. The print on this top is seriously on point, but the zipper makes the whole garment. This was my first time trying out the Diane Gilman Jeggings and I hate that I waited SO long. They are incredibly comfortable (it's like wearing sweatpants) and have an extreme amount of stretch to them. I did have to cuff the bottom because the inseam is only 28" long, but that is perfect for fall & to wear with booties. I think the piece that really pulled this outfit together was the One Button Blazer; it dressed it up perfectly. Last, but certainly not least, I am obsessed with the Patent Wedges. I actually bought them in the store a couple weeks prior and could not wait for the perfect event to wear them -- so cute & comfortable.
As for the event itself, it was the absolute best excuse for a little mid-week retail therapy! I mean, I am up for any reason to go visit my fave gals at C&B. Rockin' Robin, Becky & I took advantage of the fun photo frame at the event. Oh, and the customers -- they are seriously awesome. After working in a number of different retail and customer service environments, I can honestly say the C&B customers are the best out there. They are always so upbeat, funny & basically up for anything. I had a blast talking about fall trends, watching them try on all of the fabulous fall items and helping them style different pieces.
Moving onto my GNO purchases. In case you didn't already know, I have a bit of a cardigan problem. It's pretty bad. So obviously...I had to buy more. I was sold on the Tuck Stitch Cardigan the moment I saw it because...you guessed it...it has POCKETS! Another love at first sight pieces was the Block Stripe Cardigan. I purchased the Navy/Mint combination in the Spring and absolutely loved it so this was a no-brainer for me. Extra bonus: I can wear it for school spirit-y days at work! Not to mention it will pair perfectly with the Circle Stone Pendant Necklace & Crossbody Bag. Lastly, I know you are going to laugh at me but Pillow Sole Socks are my absolute favorite. They are so cushiony and soft my feet practically melt into them. Seriously, try them!
To wrap things up, I want to talk about purchases to come. The top two pieces, Metallic Plaid Shirt & Diamond Quilted Vest, were ones I drooled over throughout the entire event. I ultimately did not buy them because my sizes were sold out in stores and I was too stubborn to have them order online. Now, I haven't been able to stop thinking about them and will be ordering them tonight. The bottom two, Basic Cowl Pullover & Indigo Printed Bomber, I did not notice in the store the other night or I would have snatched them up right away. I will likely hold out until heading back out to a store so I can try them on, but they are definitely on my wish list!
If you were able to make it to the GNO event at your local C&B, let me know what you thought and what pieces you ended up snagging!
