I hope you all had a low-stress Thanksgiving! I hear so many complaints leading up to this holiday that I feel like it is oftentimes to hectic of an entry into the holiday season. Let's step back for a minute and focus on fashion for a bit. Here is a little bit of inspiration to get you ready for the work week prompts ahead!
Let me start out by apologizing, as I do not have a whole lot of visual inspiration this week. Shearling and fringe are not abundant in my wardrobe (who am I kidding? They're nonexistent), so I do not have a whole lot to go on.
Monday 11/27: Sure Thing Shearling
Shearling was all the rage back in the good ol' Dawson's Creek days. I remember I had to have a suede and shearling coat, just like Joey did (because everyone knows she was the best). I was so spoiled that I had not only the one I asked for, but a corduroy and shearling one as well. See, my love for corduroy runs deep. I am pleased (and only mildly embarrassed) to say that I still have the corduroy/shearling one packed away somewhere so I am looking forward to busting that baby out. My mother, on the other hand, will finally have an excuse to wear some of her newer purchases (made after exclaiming "but it's so soft!" when I object).
Tuesday 11/28: Fierce Fringe
In case you haven't caught on to this yet, fringe is not my thing. It gives me horrible 80s flashbacks to my childhood and terribly scary women with their crazy fringe purses, jackets...everything. Despite this, I have witnessed fringe done well over the past year so I figured maybe would should give it a go. I just have one question. Do tassels count as fringe?
Wednesday 11/29: Plaid & Pearls
I adore this prompt simply because I think this combination is so classic. I know it seems a little bit different, but try it out and I assure you that it will not disappoint.
Thursday 11/30: Totally In{vest}ed
Everyone probably knows by now that I am a little (lot) bit vest obsessed so this prompt is a tough one for me. Yes, you read that right. Tough because it is so difficult to choose JUST ONE!!! I chose to go the puffer vest route for the inspiration given the time of year, but the options are plentiful. A suit vest, tweed, fur...whatever you have in your closet!
Friday 12/1: Evergreen Tree
What better way to kick off December than with a hint of evergreen? You can go full-blown head-to-toe evergreen tree or just add pops of the beautiful color into your look. Not a fan of green? Try out a tree print instead.
