I apologize for the delay in posting. I have really been struggling with whether or not to continue these challenges with all that is going on in the world right now. Ultimately, I decided it was worth trying to maintain some amount of normalcy. After spending several days in pjs, I am eager to wear real clothes again...or at least try to incorporate it into my new routine part of the time.
For those of you unfamiliar with #LLBwardroberemix, here's how it works: Each month I give you 40 prompts, broken down into eight categories. You can do any prompt, from any category, on any day you want. This challenge works around your schedule while still providing hints of inspiration when you need them. Why 40 prompts? Additionally, we have a literary theme from April 19-25 in celebration of National Library Week. I don't have to be in the building (though hopefully I will be) to celebrate all the amazing library things.
Wed. 4/1: Graphic Tee. Starting off simple, with a fun graphic tee of your choice.
Thu. 4/2: French Terry. Because comfort is key in these trying times. Stay in your bathroom, toss on a pair of french terry shorts, it's up to you!
Fri. 4/3: Foral Frenzy. Let's brighten up our moods with some floral patterns.
Sat. 4/4: Denim Overdrive. Your jeans still exist, you know. Try wearing a pair today. Hell, try doubling up with a denim top or jacket too!
Sun. 4/5: Belted Beauty. A belt implies that you will wear real pants, or perhaps a dress. Strange concept these days, I know.
Mon. 4/6: Mauve-lous. Seriously, I used to hate mauve. Now I'm digging it. How does that even happen? I am turning into an old lady?
Tue. 4/7: Dare Me. This show was a horrible addiction. I am not saying to sit around in a cheerleading uniform, but I don't know, pretend you're in high school.
Wed. 4/8: Basketweave. Yeah, I don't know where I was going with this one. Basketweave sweater? Basket purse? Basketcase? No, that's just me.
Thu. 4/9: Classic Cotton. Easy enough, right?
Fri. 4/10: Fine Lines. Simple stripes.
Sat. 4/11: That's A Wrap. Wrap up in something cozy.
Sun. 4/12: Hippity Hoppity Easter Handbag. Happy Easter, lovelies! Whether we are allowed out into the world or not, dress up, do your hair and makeup, and carry a cute handbag to your dining table.
Mon. 4/13: Only Blue Skies Ahead. A girl can dream, right?
Tue. 4/14: Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. Who else is watching this show? I have a love/hate going on with it right now. I will say that I have a serious love/love with Zoey's wardrobe though. I am such a dork.
Wed. 4/15: Tie Dye or Acid Wash. Kicking it old school.
Thu. 4/16: Oh hey, Soft Chambray! It won't kill us to wear a button down shirt for a purpose other than Zoom, just saying.
Fri. 4/17: Snake in the Grass. I just love me some snake print, that's all.
Sat. 4/18: Baseball Tee, Cap, or Jersey. I refuse to accept life without baseball. I am rocking that gear anyway.
Sun. 4/19: Cat in the Hat. Let's see those hats, babes.
Mon. 4/20: Harold & the Purple Crayon. That's right. I want to see you go about your extracurriculars today wearing purple. Snoop would do it.
Tue. 4/21: Little Fires Everywhere. Obsessed with this show. Obsessed with the wardrobe. Loving the vintage Dooney. Hating how mom jeans look on my hips, but wearing them anyway.
Wed. 4/22: Confessions of a Shopaholic. This is a freebie, really. Wear something you have a lot of, something you splurged on, a brand you are obsessed with...whatever spin you want to put on it.
Thu. 4/23: Corduroy Goes to School. It's no secret that corduroy is my favorite texture. Luckily, it's probably still cool enough outside to wear it once more.
Fri. 4/24: Where the Wild Things Are. Animal prints, baby!
Sat. 4/25: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. Yep. Stay in your pajamas. It's Saturday (what are days, anyway?), why not?!
Sun. 4/26: To Infinity & Beyond. Infinity scarfs -- cozy and very low key.
Mon. 4/27: Red Wine, Feeling Fine. No, just me?
Tue. 4/28: This Is Us. I can't help it. I keep watching. I love the wardrobe. And Milo Ventimiglia (always have, always will).
Wed. 4/29: Right to Bare Ankles. Show some leg, ladies!
Thu. 4/30: All About That Lace. Let's get fancy with a little lace today.
